If you look at my gamertag, you’ll notice that lately I’ve been playing Eternal Sonata. This RPG game require two play in order to get the full achievements. On the second playthrough, the enemy will have 2x the health, and 1.5x the attack and defense. But they will still drop the same XP
I found this nice trick for handling any tough boss on the 2nd play. Select party level 6, and then find a random enemy just prior to the big fight. Fight this lesser enemy such that after the fight you’ll have a full 32 harmony chain. I.e., use only regular attack, or use combo that will give you lots of harmony chains. Since partly level 6 allows you to carry your harmony chain to the next fight, when you face the boss, you’ll have the full 32-harmony chain. This pretty much guarantee an instant kill for most of the boss’ sidekick.
For example, I use this trick on Xylophone Tower’s boss (Ogre King & Wicked Shrub) — which is pretty much the last boss you’ll have to fight on the 2nd play to get full achievement — and the fight is finished in about 4-5 turns. My character is around level 60-ish, but I have Allegretto’s ultimate weapon (Silver Star), which helps a lot.
