SOCOM Pro Included in PSN’s “Welcome Back” Program:

To incentivize purchase of SOCOM 4 immediately following PSN’s restoration, SOCOM Pro will be promoted as part of PSN’s high profile “Welcome Back” program and SOCOM Pro’s $14.99 value will be offered FREE to all users for 30 days. Upon PSN’s return, Welcome Back will be the most highly visible promotion throughout the PlayStation Network upon PSN’s return, bringing SOCOM Pro a great deal of exposure as well.

To further garner interest and drive on-the-fence consumers to purchase SOCOM 4 in order to enjoy the benefits, once PSN returns we are also announcing the release date for all new Pro-exclusive DLC listed below.

New SOCOM Pro DLC:

The following Pro-exclusive DLC is slated for release on the PlayStation Store 2 weeks after PSN is restored:

  • Map Pack: 3 new Multiplayer maps based on Singleplayer campaign environments
  • Weapon Pack (includes the M-16 and AK47)

 

Immediately following PSN’s restoration, the following pre-sell content will open up to all SOCOM Pro users as well:

  • SU90-S Shotgun
  • Classic “Abandoned” Multiplayer Map

 

To raise awareness of all the new content available for SOCOM 4, we’ll be pushing SOCOM Pro DLC throughout the PlayStation Nation as follows:

Continuing Support:

To continue encouraging users to play SOCOM 4 beyond the month of May, the following events and features will also be available in the coming weeks:

  • MLG Boot Camp and $20,000 National Tournament
    • Offering $20k cash and prizes such as specialty gaming headsets and monitors, the SOCOM 4 tournament has already enlisted 3,000 participants and is expected to engage thousands more hardcore gamers over its 10 week span
    • In cooperation with the Navy SEALs, we’ll create SEAL-specified custom “Boot Camp” game queues as well as release SEALs tactics videos featuring interviews with real operatives
    • The tournament will be supported through the following means:
